about

Deastro’s first 7” is also the first release from Five Three Dial Tone Records in Detroit. Recorded by Joe Frezza (formerly of Electric Six) and mixed by Joshua Eustis (Telefon Tel Aviv), “Spritle” is exclusive to this release while the B-side, “Tree Frog” will appear on the physical release of Deastro’s Moondagger LP. The songs were pressed on clear vinyl, limited to 400 copies, and come with a plethora of inserts – including a CD containing both tracks.

Track Name: Spritle
Oh my Lord this is the place I've been dreaming of
The Stillest Mind is where I can really love!

Oh my brother tell me which way to go
I've got ape like eyes and preacher thighs
A mouth and a stereo
And firecrackers are words that want to explode
So give me truth instead of theories
Something that will help me grow!

Fire is waiting on the other side
But I know that we'll be all right!
Track Name: Tree Frog
Yes it's hard for me to break down all these bridges that I've built.
Yes it's hard for me to expose all the innocence I've killed.
And Everything fine looks fine to those who can't see,
But my darling you've still got the very best parts of me.

The world needs you girl don't be frightened
The world needs you girl don't be scared!

Hard looks
Softer Hearts
The Call of God
His hidden cost
Isaac you were
The chosen one
To prove this battle
Is far from won.
